October 20, 2015

I've been having trouble with my camera lately.  I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it.  But in an attempt to fix things I made my family dress up in whatever matching clothes I could find Sunday evening and go out by the lake for pictures.  It wasn't fun, and it didn't help me with my camera.   But they are okay for all self timer mode. But I guess I have a few semi okay pictures to document our little adorable family right now.

One last costume check before we headed out to trick or treat.  As a family we trick or treated around the culda sac.  Then Dad took everyone down another street.  Beth got tired quickly so then she came home and sat with me and ate as much candy as she wanted while I answered the door waiting for the other kids.  They were out for about an hour.  Then we all sat in the living room eating way too much candy watching Halloween movies.

These last pictures of Beth too I can't get over how much they look just like me when I was this age.  It is a very funny thing, like me with red hair.

On our way to the Daniel's First Ward Trunk or Treat.  We were one of only two cars who decorated. We had some lights some bats and a scary movie playing.  I got to take the kids through half the cars and it was so fun.  Jake took them to the rest and says that Beth shouted on the way back to the car "THIS IS AWESOME"  Then we let the kids eat candy at home to their hearts content!

 Pumpkin Painting!
I'm not sure if this really is less mess and easier than carving, but its a lot of fun and everyone gets to participate.  Beth painted a messy grey pumpkin, Sam painted some kind of vampire monster, Mary painted a green frankenstien, Kate and I both did Dia Day Los Muertos pumpkins and Jake painted that Minion.  More creative Halloween fun, maybe all the fun creating is part of why I love this holiday so much... and the candy of course!
