Sometimes as it turns out the universe is not as against me as I think. Jake and I planned a date last minute for this Friday night. With the fall colors out and the cool (okay very COLD) crisp, fall air, what would be better than a football game at our Alma Mater? With two young children dates alone are few and far between, if we get one in every season I think we can call it good. This can be our FALL themes date. I am always complaining that things never turn out for me, thankfully my normal luck didn't follow we this night. Our last minute order of tickets on ebay came it time, and were valid. We were able to leave home a little after 5:00, find parking, make a quick dinner of Panda Express (very college us), and cheer for a not-so-cold after all BYU win. We even managed to not get stuck in traffic and shop for a new printer quickly at Wal-mart after. Our children fared well will out us at home and were sound asleep when we returned. GO MIGHTY COUGARS!

The only thing that did not turn out as well as I might have planned was how it was hard for us to sit for four hours. Not having children to care for for this long and not usuing it to get work, projects and chores done seemed wastful. And I fell asleep on the ride home because I am old and it was late.

Have I mentioned that the brainwashing of our first born has been a success. When ever she sees anything BYU she recognizes it and starts to either sing the fight song, or says "BUY U" close enough for now. She even says "BUY U" to letters that stand alone and are in similar font to the "Y"... like an "L" on some socks she has signifing they are large size. She calls them her Cougar socks. AWESOME

She is ready to start the season. She even has her "roar" down when we as her what a Cougar says. The best part is that she swipes her "paw" across in the air like a predatory cat as she says it. Or maybe the best thing is how I heard her "roaring" in her room late at night, so I went to see if she was awake, but she was not, she was just dream "roaring". Hilarious! The brain washing has been successful.

What a Fan

Kate attended her first BYU football game on Saturday, unbelievably I failed to bring the camera. Booooo!. The game was so fun. Our ward bought tickets and had about 70 people come out. We had a tailgate party before then a large section in the upper seats together. Kate was layered up as the day before it was freezing. We put her in ther polar bear pj's and said it was a cougar. She feel asleep the first quarter, and we left as we were falling asleep into the 4th quarter as BYU was way up. Good job Cougars!

I have mentioned in a previous post how were are conditioning Kate to be a BYU fan from birth. We had tickets for the BYU vs. Air Force game and were all ready to go in our white and blue last weekend. Then thunder clouds appeared on the horizon- so Kate stayed at Grandma Anderson's house while Jake and I went alone. It was a good game and we did not get soaked by the rain until the last quarter. We have tickets again for Nov 3rd, but I am sure Kate will not get to go to this one either as it will likely be 30 degrees outside. Too bad- she was in her BYU tennis dress and everything.

" Rise and Shout- Our Cheers will ring out, we're Alma Mater's Son's and Daughters"... Yes her parents are already brainwashing her into a BYU fan, so much so that she chooses to sleep giving us a "Y" every day!
