April 18, 2015.
Bethany Stats:
Height 33 inches 25%
Weight 26.6 lbs 60%
Bethany turned two on April 18, 2015. We hardly call her Bethany- it is always Bethy or Roo Roo or Rooster. She calls herself "Beff"
At two she is a very spunky little beauty. She wakes up each morning without a peep and plays with her dolls and animals in her bed until I come peek on her. Then she takes her blankie and her baba and maybe an animal or two and cozies up on the couch or my bed and watches a show. She likes to "cuddle me" she says and "show". She is not a lover of errands or being in the car but loves going outside to play. She loves all her siblings. It seems most especially Sam. She loves lots of different foods, hot dogs, fruit, juice, oatmeal, ice, yogurt, Kolaches, eggs, corn, berries, watermelon, apples. She does not like bread. In fact for a large portion of her life she would scream at it- including in sacrament meeting when the bread is offered to her. Full on tantrums about it. She is helpful cleaning up the house, or likes to play babies with her stroller or a puzzle or color. She also likes to play with cars. She loves to ride her little car outside or play in the playhouses. She loves to "simming" or swimming. She likes shoes, care bears, her blankie, monkeys, a talking dog her Grandma Doris gave her for her birthday, Daniel Tiger Neighborhood and reading books. She has a few songs she sings. Twinkle Twinkle, Old McDonald, Sunbeam, she will even sing "Tomorrow" from Annie and asks for "Annie" by name on the CD player. But she does not like I am a Child of God. In fact it will make her cry every time. Which is kind of hilarious. We think it is because she either thinks we are taking her to nursery or making her go to bed. The poor girl should be a prop at getting in and out of the car since we do that a lot each day running kids around to all their things- but she hates the car unless there is a "show" on the DVD player. And if there is not one she will shout "show show show". She is kind of a tease. She likes to take her siblings things and run off so they will chase her. She likes to say "no". She likes to play in the toliet. Super Fun, so everyone is on a constant mission to keep bathrooms shut. She loves to brush her teeth. She loves to sweep the floor. She loves animals. She is always chasing cats, petting our dog Cola, noticing birds, stepping on ants, making animal sounds. I feel like animals was the first conversations we had together because she started to know all the names of the animals and their sounds. The best animal sounds she does are a Donkey- HEE HAW, and Monkey, and butterfly where she flies her hands up, a bee where she buzzes her finger, and a worm that she does with her finger inching across. She likes alligators too and says "I chomp you" to us all when she wants you to tease her back and say you are going to chomp her. She gets the scriptures out of the drawer after dinner because she knows that is what we do next. She loves to go to her bed with all of her things- but doesn't always love to go to sleep. At night she closes her big eyes with her giant eyelashes and folds her arms as we say prayers then jumps up and says "HUGS"
Bethany has a lot of personality. I already know that she is going to stand up for what she knows is right or what she wants. She already is a lot of fun and a lot of silly. I already see her being so caring, the way she hugs and cuddles us and also how she cares for all her animals and babies. She is so loving. And she is so very beautiful. We can't go a single day without somebody mentioning her red hair. I love it. I love that it makes her different and it is just something that stands out a special maybe that will help her realize she is special- not because of her hair but because she is so sweet and loved.
We love you Beth-a-roo. You are everything good!
