We had a great 4th of July weekend around here.
Here is everyone on Sunday in their festive best.
On Monday we went to the Freedom Parade in Provo. The kids loved it. Sam especially. He clapped and would not get out of the full sun to sit in the shade with us because he wanted to be that much closer. We met up with some of Jake's cousins there- then joined them for lunch. Lucky us.
After lunch we were worn out. We headed home were most of us took naps. Then we BBQ'ed hot dogs for dinner. Jake's parents came into town and we visited with them and watched fireworks as best we could from the front porch. We had let Kate do some sparklers already earlier that week, but she of course had her own knowledge of what a firework was, and since it was not in the sky, nor rainbow colors it did not count for her. She was satisfied by the one we saw that night though.
We were lucky enough to have Jake's parents and sister and her family for Tuesday around our house too.
Do we have to go back to non holiday normal life already today?
