July 1, 2014

Kate and Sam played t-ball this summer.  So our Monday and Wednesday mornings were spent at a t-ball field.  Mostly trying to get Bethany to not eat all the spit out sunflower seeds everywhere.  Jake usually went to work late these mornings to come and watch too, and then we often went to Kolaches for an early lunch.  Kate and Sam both loved t-ball.  Love it!  Maybe because they are pretty good at it.  Sam is always playing in the street with the boy that lives in our culda sac.  Kate thinks it is pretty cool that he is one of the only kids that bats lefthanded.  Sam insists on sliding into home plate every time no matter what.  People in the stands always comment how good my kids are and I hear them even when they don't know I am the mother to the kids they are talking about.  This year we were the Green Geckos, which is funny because last year we ended up on the Green Gator team.  Marianne was sad to miss out and alway dressed herself in a green shirt and sometimes green pants to match the team uniforms and tells me when she grows up she wants to be a t-ball player.  She was happy to have some friend in the stand though to play around with while we watched.  Kate will be too old for t-ball next year and have to do coach pitch and I think we might just move both Kate and Sam.  It was fun, but I'm glad it is over.  It is kind of a lot two mornings of summer.
