Fall brings busy schedules.
Mari has dance on Mondays-  a little low key dance movement class with some of the other little girls from our neighborhood.  She likes it- but mostly likes the candy at the end.

Mari and Kate did a cheerleading clinic.  It was every day for a week with the high school cheerleaders and then a performance at the  real high school half time.  They came home the first practice singing "Red White and Blue- yell it USA" and still cheer this cheer weeks later.  Sam loved being able to watch the football game with his best friend and the girls were hanging out with friends nearby.  At one point jake and I found ourselves alone at the football game with out kids all sitting with friends.  It seemed like a moment out of a future year.

Kate continues piano and had a little parent's recital where she played "Tomorrow" from Annie beautifully.  She has moments finally where she likes piano.

Kate is also signed up for ballet.  It is a funny thing how much I stress about my kids being in the right classes and programs for them.  Kate ended up in a low key dance too, which is not what I had wanted, but we had signed up for two other classes and I just couldn't get feeling good about them.  So we ended up somewhere else and Kate seems happy enough, she does have several friends in the class and I think that is what really counts for her.

Marianne is trying her first year of soccer.  Jake agreed to coach her team.  We didn't do very well and lost most every game, but she was excited and adorable and really did usually try.

Sam signed up for soccer too in the older league for the first year.  He lucked out with two of his best friends on his team.  It took a game or two, but soon Sam was shinning out there.  He is not the biggest so he relies on his foot skills and he certainly has them. Plus he is faster than a lot of kids too. he insisted on wearing red socks and red short to almost every game.  He scored two goals this season and had countless assists.  His coach made him play defense a lot- I think because he kind of listened and stayed back to defend.  He was a great sportsman always encouraging others and cheering for others.  He was as happy when a team mate scored as when he scored himself.  The first goal he scored was on a morning we had to wake him up super early to go clean the church.  He had an amazing break away and dribbled half way down the field to make a shot to score.  He told me later  he thinks Heavenly Father blessed to to score because Sam had gone to clean the church.  I am sad soccer is over because it has been SO MUCH Fun, to watch and cheer for Sam and his friends.
