Our little Kate is a climbing animal. She just wont stay off the stairs. We have put a gate up, and she gets all mad, and whines when she goes over and sees the gate is closed. She can't get down so she goes to the top, looks in her room for a minute then sits and whines for us to get her. Her favorite thing to do is go to the landing, and look down at us. I am not sure why she likes it, but it appears she wishes she were an animal in a zoo, because she sure like being in this cage of sorts. She will sit herself at the landing and entertain herself for a while, dancing and banging on the bars, laughing and trying to get us to tickle her through the bars.

Maybe it is in the genes. When our child 3 (girl) was just 11 months old she climbed out of her crib and that was the end of it. She has always been our daredevil. What a cutie that Kate is!
