Fall Evening Turns Out Perfect

Earlier I was complaining about the weather and how I had planned on a perfect fall picnic only to have to cancel because of the weather.
After we ate inside, we went leaf hunting anyway for family night.
And instead of getting to eat in the lovely fall, something even more fall-ish happened.
So I am cool with the bad weather now.

We hunted leaves up in Midway.
About twenty wild turkeys and 15 mule deer surrounded us.
Nor did they fear us.
Even the kids moving quickly and squealing in amusement were able to get within ten feet of them.
They just roamed and grazed while we picked up leaves in every color.

This is when the animals finally retreated into the forest.
