April 4, 2014

1. Marianne is suddenly obsessed with going to school.  She packs that old backpack of Kate's with books and toys and lugs it around all day.  Poor girl still has another year and a half before preschool even.

2-3.  Kate was in the Mini Waspette's clinic.  It was just week long 2 hour classes and then they performed at the high school during the high school dance team's recital.  She love it.  Understand=tment.  LOOOOOVVVEEEED IT! She danced all week, and is still replaying the dance moves and directing her siblings in dance shows in the living room.  She is actually fairly graceful.  But during the performance she always turned left when they were suppose to turn right.  Blame it on being left handed.  It was pretty cute.

4.  The kids are so sweet to one another most the time.  I often find cards and notes they have given one another.  Kate took the valentine I gave her and cut it up and wrote a note to Mari on it. She also took a thank you card one of her teachers gave her and scribbled over the writting and re-made it for Mari.  They are so treasured by Mari.  She carries them around all the time.  Often in her backpack.  On a similar note Sam made a sweet card for Kate for her birthday without being directed depicting them together with heart and their names, without any help.

5-6.  My pie makers.  And yes, you often need to wear a red wig when you cook pie, didn't you know. These two often help me cook in the kitchen when Kate is at school and Bethy naps.  I love my helpers.

7-8.  Bethany's red hair.  I'm always trying to document it nervous it will go away and fade into blonde like is family uniform.

9.  Jake and I got away to the REAL Salt Lake soccer game to celebrate his birthday and then out to dinner.  It was freezing!  and the restaurant wasn't all that great, but it was awesome to be alone together out of our house for several hours- the first since just after Christmas.  We resolved to make dates happen more somehow.

10-16.  Jakes family birthday celebration.  We made Jake a nice dinner, and a cake that was really a giant ice cream sandwich topped with snickers and carmel.  The kids decorated the house with all the leftover birthday stuff from their parties that I have kept, so Jake got a soccer, pirtate, lego birthday.  The kids thought it was awesome!  Then we played unga bunga bar all night with the kids. And it was so fun and hilarious.  So much that Kate requested we play it at her birthday party too

17-18.  Jake cuddles Bethany. This girl has been in pain, mostly I think because of her teeth number 3, 4, and maybe more coming in slowly.  She is constantly sucking her thumb and cuddling- which is not her, she is always on the move not cuddling.  She is also up late and all night long and Jake and I are kind of going insane with the lack of sleep she is causing.

19.  Jake and Sam working on my garden boxes for the backyard.  Usually projects take more time and money than I think they will.  Somehow this project, we got the land cleared and bought all the supplies and made half the boxes all in a few hours on Saturday.  That never happens
