Kate had a birthday.
A Hello Kitty Birthday. A little early because her birthday always falls during Spring Break.
She is saving her gifts and real cake for her actual day with just our family.
So she is not done partying yet.
Her and I worked quickly that weekend before to whip up some goodies for the party, little gifts, photo booth masks and decorations. We also ordered doughnuts to take to her class that day. So a friend birthday party, class party and family party.... sheesh this is getting a little ridiculous, but I'm so glad to have her be special for her birthday.
That morning she dressed in kitty attire and had me do a Hello Kitty bow in her hair. Then after lunch I brought the treat to her class. Sam came too. He loved being a big kid and they let him play heads up 7 up. Kate got to lead the game, she loved her birthday at school
Then once home we had a few finishing details. Like putting together the decorate your own cake bar. I made 18 mini cakes in tin cans the night before like a crazy person.
We colored kitty bows to play pin the bow on the kitty.
Then we played unga bunga bar again. The kids loved this and there was so much laughing!
Then Kate got to open her presents. She was so funny the entire party and I am beginning to see that she is kind of the goofy or clown among her friends- she is not that way in class, but it looks like they see her as the silly and fun one. She had all her friend laughing and was so grateful for every little gift her friends brought her, giving them compliments about what a great idea they had, or how they read her mind. She was so cute.
Then we decorated our cakes and sang Happy Birthday and ate our cakes
Then we played unga bunga bar again.
She has so many cute friends and we were so happy to have them all over to make her day special.
I love that girl! She is so patient, and helpful and funny.
Happy Birthday Kate. We'll be celebrating again in a few days.
