Cute Bethy growing up so fast, I can even make a little pony tail in her still mostly non-there hair.
Marianne and Sam and Jake practice soccer on the sidelines of Kate's game. Marianne got those new purple tennis shoes this week and she was so excited about them. She kept saying how she was going to "run fast, jump and kick" with actions then she would zoom around the house. The poor girl hasn't really had real shoes her whole life because her feet are so fat nothing will fit them. She has mostly survived in crocs, rainboots and some boys sandals because they are some of the only shoes we can get on her fat feet. But we tried some Wal-mart kids trainers in a size too big with velcro and they are going to work. She looks so grown up in them too.
We really lucked out at Saturday morning soccer, a cute teen dressed up as an Easter Bunny and handed out candy to all the kids around the fields. You can see how close Mari was willing to go to the Easter Bunny. During a break, Kate's coach asked where she had gone- oh there she is- running over to the Easter Bunny. Even Bethy got a picture. Bethany was a trooper this week sitting through four soccer games with a few graham crackers to keep her happy.
Jake is coaching Sam's team again this year. We lucked out too and Sam not only got his two best friends on his team- but two girls from our ward so fun! Sam is doing amazing too. He had a few break aways during the game where he dribbled and scored two goals.
Kate is not enjoying soccer as much, but had a bit more confidence her second game because she also got new shoes. Her coach put her in the goal which worked out great for her. She got a lot more action on the ball be blocked a lot of goals too. This year she has moved to I think 8 v. 8 play which is not as fun as the
3 on 3 for the younger ages.
Suddenly life seems very hectic and crazy with so much soccer. Good thing it only lasts 5 weeks or something like that- but then we will be at t-ball two days a week too. I'm already tired and we are only one week in.
