July 4 2015

We had a fantastic July 4th.
It started with going to a baptism for a friend.  Where we got to join in seeing other friends we hadn't seen for a while, while twenty kids ran like crazy after at a luncheon.
Then there were a few errands to be run and some yard work.
Then we headed to my parents house for the 4th of July.  Amy's family also met us there.  Grandma Anderson made a huge party just for us.  With festive decorations and delicious food and even 4th of July crafts.  We ate dinner, played outside.  All the cousins play well together.  I had brought 100 or so glow sticks.  The kids made them into necklaces and then went downstairs in the theater room where it was dark and had a huge dance party to the music from the new ANNIE.  We called it a toddler rave.  They loved it.  Grandma Anderson made a big firework show for us while we sat on the grass.  Then we did sparklers.  Marianne had to be convinced they were safe, but even Beth loved them.  After that we went to the front of the house where we watched the entire valley set off their fireworks.   It is the best place to have the fourth of July.  Hundreds of fireworks can be seen in every directions.  The children ran around the grass watching them all and kept hugging me telling me it was the best day of their life.
